Fuel costs have hit another record high at the siphon across the UK, fixing the press on UK shoppers, the motoring association the AA has said.
Throughout the end of the week petroleum arrived at 148.02p a liter, while diesel hit another record high of 151.57p a liter last Thursday.
Fuel recently hit a record in November, before discount and retail costs fell back.
"The typical cost for basic items emergency has been tightened up one more indent," said Luke Bosdet of the AA.
The RAC's fuel representative Simon Williams said the cost of filling a 55-liter family vehicle was currently an "eye-watering" £81.41.
